The Barbecue

(but you don't have to barbecue - the
variety provided in this box was so popular during summer we thought we would
offer it in winter too)
4 rump steaks
(approx. 280g/10oz ea.)
1kg of prime steak mince
1kg of lean, cubed lamb
1kg thick pork sausages
4 free range chicken drumsticks and 4 thighs
4 free range chicken breasts

- Rump steak because the
best way to cook steak is on the barbecue, and you can't beat the flavour of
a juicy rump (but don't forget to let is rest before you eat it)
- Prime steak mince for the
best burgers ever - why don't we offer ready made burgers? We know
that our customers enjoy cooking (or at least eating!) and making the
perfect burger is a very personal thing - do you put horseradish in the
mix? What type of mustard do you favour? Do you relish a hint of
fresh chili or a handful of fresh herbs...? White onion or red?
The list is almost endless - but the result is invariably delicious.
- Cubed lamb, the perfect
ingredient for a shish kebab - perhaps served with a mint and yoghurt sauce,
or maybe some good humus.
- Is any barbecue truely
complete without a banger? Spend a bit of time turning them while they
cook to avoid the charred on the outside raw in the middle effect, and you
will be rewarded with a sensational succulent sausage.
- Chicken drumsticks and
thighs marinated in fresh lemon, tarragon, salt and pepper, then cooked so
that the skin goes crisp and golden.
- Chicken breast, cooked
whole, or perhaps cut into cubes and then skewered as an alternative to the
lamb shish kebab.
